Tutorial System

The Tutorial system as envisaged by the UGC and implemented vide G.O(MS) No.118/93/H.Edn. dated 13.09.93, aims at improving personal rapport between the teacher and the student and between the student  and his environment-both academic and social .The activities of the system during the academic year 2009-2010 were the following.

The handbook system introduced during the previous year was found very successful and it was continued during 2009-2010.

It is proposed to prepare a database of students containing all details including their attendance and marks of examinations as well as other achievements.  The  same is intended to be published to the website of the college.

ACADEMIC MONITORING COMMITTEE – AIMS

• To make critical analysis of the teaching methodology used in the college and make suggestion for improvement.
• To provide training to faculty members on the use of modern teaching aids/equipments.
• To substitute lecture method with assignments, group discussions, seminars, project work, case studies etc.
• To encourage faculty members to integrate theory with practice.
• To motivate the teachers to prepare teaching plan (Departmental & Individual)
• To monitor the academic schedule of the college.
