Science Club 2009-2010

• The conventional energy sources such as energy from Fossil sources are going to be used up completely.  In this context science club conducted a talk on “ Future sources of energy” on 12^th November 2009.  The resource person was Prof. C.J. Babu, former Head of the Department, St. Thomas College, Thrissur.  In his discourse he urged the need to tap energy such as solar energy, bio-gas energy, wind energy and energy from sea waves.
• The science club also conducted an exhibition on “Evolution of astronomy” on 16^th December 2009 and 17^th December 2009.  the students from the nearby schools witnessed the exhibition with great enthusiasm.   The exhibition was conducted in association with the Department of Science and Technology and Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre.  The students were able to understand the role of different scientists who helped to achieve success in the Chandrayan mission conducted by our country.
